 | Sandstone Tire was established on June 10th, 2008 Sandstone Tire was established in Monticello, Utah with two service trucks and offered the Roadside service to all those who passed through the area.
In Final preparations to come down to Monticello, we had to purchase a service truck, we found one that was perfect in American Fork. We had been on the look out for the perfect truck but with no luck in finding one, One day a family member called up and said that they just happened to be driving past some tire shop and they had a service truck for sale. |

The next day Sandstone Tire has purchased its first Service truck
and was on its way south. The service truck was going to be perfect for
the road service that we wanted to provide to the Southeastern and Four
Corners Area. Our New Service Truck was equipped with on board air compressor that
was under the hood. and a service box for the bed that had ample room
for all the tools that would perfect for spare tire installation or
Lockout service for those stranded in our corner of the world. Once we had arrived to the area and became a little more familiar with the area and its economics, we came to the conclusion that with all the heavy mining operations that were located around the La Sal area and the Mill Site in Blanding were all the Uranium brought the ore that was mined from the Mine sites that were located through out the country between Blanding Utah and Lake Powell. |
 | Some of these Mines included the Ticaboo Mine that was located in Ticaboo, Utah located down off the North shore of Lake Powell, The Heavily traveled Highway 95 is the Main Highway that runs East & West through San Juan County and that takes tourist into the Natural Bridges National Park as well and the Northern Park of Comb Ridge. Highway 95 is heavily traveled by tourist, and so is a busy stretch of road that Sandstone Tire & Towing offers it full line of road services/ Roadside Assistance to in need. The Farther that we have ever traveled to do a flat repair took place just off of Highway 95, when we traveled from Monticello to Ticaboo Mine to repair a Super Single drive tire for a trucking company that was hauling ore from mine site to the mill site located in blanding Utah. With all the many National park that are located in Southeast Utah and the four corners area, we stay consistently busy performing roadside assistance and road services in the area. During our first few month of being in business, clientele was low so much of our time was spent on the phone, building our clientele. During this time we set many contract with insurance company and rental companies to take care of their customers while they traveled though our area. This process though has slowed down compared to what it was when we started, has continued throughout our time and we continually search for new contract as well as increasing the services that we provide. |

Having these contract and being in such a remote area has taken Sandstone Tire & Towing so some of the most random places and even beyond our bounders due to the fact that no matter how far it is, we will do whatever it takes to take care of a customer. The Farthest Service call that we performed was the install of two spare tires for a AAA Customer that was located just North of Tuba City, Arizona. This meant that we left Monticello, Utah and traveled down through Mexican Hat and though Monument Valley into Kayenta Arizona where we turned West and went through Black Mesa, Passing the turn to head North up into Page Arizona which is the Southern most part of Lake Powell and Home to Famous Dam. Finally reaching the customer four and a half hours later.
